Elections 2024: A closer look at Delhi’s Mohalla Clinics

AAP supporters praise Mohalla Clinics for serving local communities without disrupting income. But are these clinics properly functioning for the citizens? We look into the ground realities of AAP's flagship health model.

As Delhi gears up for the general elections of 2024, our team conducted a ground report focusing on the state of Mohalla clinics across the city. Mohalla Clinics, a flagship healthcare initiative of Delhi’s AAP Government, aims to provide accessible and affordable primary healthcare services to residents. The term “Mohalla” translates to “neighborhood” in Hindi, reflecting the clinics’ focus on serving local communities. These clinics intend to save patients’ time from the long hospital queues at Government hospitals.

Our investigation delved into the effectiveness of these clinics in addressing the healthcare needs of Delhi’s diverse population. We visited several Mohalla clinics located in different neighbourhoods such as Ali Vihar, Panchsheel, Sirifort, and Khirki Extension to assess their infrastructure, services offered and patient experiences.

Watch our report to discover our findings.
